Public hearing begins for land acquisition

ITANAGAR| April 20 | Public hearing on construction of four lane (NH-415) from Papu Nallah point began at NH administrator-CEO Talo Potom here today.

There have been some lapses during land allotment and marking of structure in few cases but 15 metres distance from the centre of road , known as right of way (RoW) should be maintained or else the structure will be evicted, Potom told 50  people who attended first day for hearing on receipt of notices. He lauded former MLA Kipa Babu for his voluntary support on the issue.

Citing traffic congestion, he sought cooperation of citizens during eviction drive and construction.

CE (Highway) Toli Basar said that technical bidding of tender process was over and financial bid possibly will be approved by regional office soon.

Papu Nallah-Banderdewa stretches (B & C phases) will be scrutinised by IITG and the DPRs would be sent to MoRTH for fund sanction.
